Idola entered the school theatre hall. It was dark and gloomy. She said ‘hello’ and waited for an answer. No response. She looked around the hall, looking for some entertainment. ‘The stage!’ she thought. She saw a microphone on the stage and had decided what to do. Sing. The theatre hall was so quiet like the necropolis. Her sweet voice could enlighten the place up. As she was singing she looked around the hall. It looked like it has never been used. She looked left and right, and suddenly she saw the stage curtain moving. She stopped singing. Yet, she started shrieking to the top of her lungs.
“Ouch ouch ouch! Keep quiet, will you? Im having my beauty sleep here…” said a voice.
Idola was startled and decided to check who was behind there. As she lifted the curtain up, she saw a man with dark hair and droopy eyes, crouching backstage.
“And you are?” Idola asked.
“Huh.. what? Um.. Shou.” Shou replied in a sleepy way.
Sho. Idola has heard or this name from somewhere. He is one of the richest man in school. As the girl decided to leave, she was stopped by the sleepy lad.
“I… kind of liked your voice. Can you sing again?” Shou requested . Idola accepted it right away.
Weeks had passed by, Idola and Shou became friends. They often met in the theatre hall after school, like how they first met. When Idola knew Shou was an actor in the school’s Theater Club, she planned to play an act with Shou.
“With this, the drama club will surely be the best club in school!” Idola cheered.
“True! A singer with a nice voice like you can catch the audience’s heart.” Shou followed.
His words made Idola flattered and blushed. Idola got a feeling that she might fall for Shou. This is fine, because a singer and an actor is like a canon.
The day of the play had arrived. Like usual, when Shou appeared on the stage, the whole audience, especially the ladies would squeal for the elegant and rich actor. However, as for Idola no one made a noise. Whispers about Idola started to grow. As Idola started to sing, everyone was startled. The voice was amazing. Idola gained confidence as everyone started to cheer for her. This is what she had been dreaming ever since she was young. She wanted fame. She would not stop singing, even if Shou told her to stop.
“You’re ruining the play!” He exclaimed. However, the harsh words from the audience pierced his heart. They were all into Idola. No more Shou. Even the girls were on Idola’s side.
“Idola! She’s my classmate! She’s amazing!” one of them cheered.
Sho felt doleful. His play was ruined. Idola used him just to get her fame. He left Idola alone singing on HIS stage as he ran outside.
“Idola I can’t believe it. Why are you using me just to get yourself fame? “ Shou muttered to himself as he left the school.
Moths passed by and it was then autumn. Idola had an audacity to apologize to Shou for what she had done.
“Shou. I’m so sorry. I’m too greedy. Will you forgive me?”
Shou smiled and hugged her.
“It’s okay, don’t cry.”
Then, Idola tried to win Shou’s heart.
“Shou, I love you. But don’t tell anyone..”
Shou smiled, then kissed her
“I love you too.”
But it was a lie. Shou knew that actually Idola was dating his friend, Leo. Leo told Shou about it a few days ago. In the theater room, the singer and the actor kissed. Shou told Idola to meet him behind the shop beside school in the evening.
“I want to show you something.” He smiled. Idola agreed, and left the theater hall as the bell rang. Her friends waited for her outside the hall.
“Love you, Idola” Shou teased. Idola was shocked. She told him to keep it as a secret. Now her friends would know there was something going on and Idola was cheating on Leo.
Idola waited near the slums. She wondered what was the surprise from Sho. Suddenly she felt something hitting her back. She fell down onto her knees. Her mouth was bleeding/ She was about to scream, but Shou appeared and kissed her.
“Well well, look who’s falling now?” Shou teased. Leo was beside him.
“This one is for cheating on me.” Leo kicked her hard. The boys laughed and the girl cried.
“Welcome to the stage of lies, girl.” Shou picked her up by pulling her hair. Then he released her, leaving her powerless on the ground.
“Now, your stage of life wouldn’t be pleasant anymore, right?” Shou said, as he turned to the school ground. A girl was watching the scene. Shou and Leo ran away later on, laughing. More crowd were gathering around the distorted idol. She heard whispers. They were whispers about her. Now everyone laughed and insulted her for what she did. She had lost the stage where everyone once clapped and smiled for her.
“Ouch ouch ouch! Keep quiet, will you? Im having my beauty sleep here…” said a voice.
